Lead Student Library Aid

March 2020 - May 2023

  • Oversaw, trained and assisted three other student workers.

  • Performed mending procedures on books such as: Re-labeling books when ownership of the library changed, and inserting magnetic strips into books

  • Backshifted and Re-shelved an entire floor’s worth of books when the ownership of the library changed, using a push cart.

  • Shelf read for errors or misplaced books.

  • Shelved and organized periodicals and theses.

  • Managed the Prim Library Social media platform.

  • Learned about branch operations throughout the transition of ownership.

  • Created library accounts for students, and faculty, and issued community member cards.

  • Created guidelines and tutorials for future employees on using the online catalog and databases, placing holds on, and checking out books.

  • Provided direct assistance to patrons with various requests including issuing library cards, checking in and out books, processing and adjusting fines, accessing the community computers, helping them to access the universities various intranet resources, assisting them with locating the book or section they needed, processing interlibrary loan requests, and various other patron requests.

  • Assisted the administrative assistant at the university with various tasks including; disposing of documents and materials, editing and renaming documents, mailing merchandise, and editing spreadsheets.

Diamond Peak Ski Resort – Ski Lift Operator

November 2022 – April 2023

  • Supervised the ski lift to assure safety in an extremely fast-paced environment with limited supervision.

  • Assisted partons with any questions about the resort and helped them to get onto the lift safely.

  • Stopped the lift when required, and filed reports on any incidents.

  • Shoveled, raked, and removed snow in order to maintain the ski lift loading ramp.

  • Lifted machinery weighing 100lbs or more, held heavy chairs of the lift for customers.

  • Worked outside in the snow, rain, etc.

Sierra Nevada University / University of Nevada Reno at Lake Tahoe – Resident Assistant

August 2021 – May 2023

  • Student position.

  • Worked with a team of six RAs overseeing 20-30 students each in our respective dorm hallways

  • Reported student misconduct.

  • Assisted with scheduling events and programming on campus.

  • Assisted students with personal and school-related issues.

  • Acted as an intermediary between students, staff and administration.

  • Was a source of on-call emergency assistance overnight for student issues.

Old Navy (San Luis Obispo) – Sales Floor Associate

May 2019 - August 2019

  • ​Organized and moved products on the sales floor.

  • Processed clothes in the dressing rooms.

  • Worked at the register.

  • Assisted customers on the sales floor.

New Times San Luis Obispo – Arts Intern

May 2018 - August 2018.

  • Wrote about local arts-related events.

  • Reviewed movies at local theaters.

  • Reviewed local plays.

  • Worked with LGBT activists in San Luis Obispo county to speak about gender issues.
